‘I never thought that, at over 60, I’d enjoy learning so much again. I feel completely at ease in the PLL Spanish course – we laugh a lot, and our teacher adapts to our pace. Now I even have the confidence to speak to the locals when I’m on holiday!’
Monika H.

«I would like to take this opportunity to thank you. After some years of English lessons at PLL, I have to say that you are the best English teacher I have ever had. You always strive to get the best out of us and teach us English with great passion. I am looking forward to continuing our English lessons next year.»
Mr. D. Head of Logistics

‘During my school days, which are now some time behind me, I didn’t have much exposure to foreign languages. Last year, despite my initial scepticism, I managed to learn the grammar well, and I really enjoy the conversation.’

The history of Progressive Language Learning AG
Why do some international teams run smoothly, whilst others fall apart due to misunderstandings?
This question has been on my mind ever since I started my career. Having grown up in the bilingual canton of Fribourg, I moved between French and German from an early age and experienced first-hand how language can facilitate – or hinder – collaboration. A lengthy stay in the USA later on not only improved my English but also deepened my understanding of different working and communication cultures.
Whilst working at the national Erasmus agency, it finally dawned on me just how much of an impact language has on integration, collaboration and professional development. I saw first-hand how targeted language skills bring teams together, strengthen international collaboration and drive businesses forward.
Our company-specific learning approach is based on these experiences. It is consistently geared towards day-to-day working life and the real-world requirements of businesses. In this way, employees develop their language skills in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Swiss German in a practical, structured manner and precisely where they are actually needed in their day-to-day work.
